UNR Academic Calendar 2023.

Check out the important dates and deadlines on the UNR academic calendar for fall 2023.

1. Fall 2023 semester enrollment begins from Monday, April 3, 2023.
2. UNR Housing payment is due on Thursday, June 15, 2023.
3. UNR Fall 2023 application deadline for first-time applicants is Saturday, July 15, 2023. Application deadline for non-degree applicants is Friday, August 18, 2023.
4. NevadaFIT move-in day 2023 is from Thursday, August 17, 2023 to Saturday, August 19, 2023.
5. NevadaFIT opening ceremony is on Saturday, August 19, 2023.
6. New graduate student orientation and reception are on Thursday, August 24, 2023.
7. UNR move in day 2023 is on Friday, August 25, 2023. It is Sophomores and Above Students will move in day.
8. Fall 2023 application deadline for Graduate Special applicants is Friday, August 25, 2023.
9. The application deadline for returning student applications is Friday, August 25, 2023.
10. The final day for initial registration is Friday, August 25, 2023.
11. Fall semester fees are due on Friday, August 25, 2023. It is the final day to pay all fees without incurring late payment fees. 
12. Fall 2023 first payment is due for those students on the payment plan on Friday, August 25, 2023.
13. Late fees are assessed on Saturday, August 26, 2023.
14. UNR Fall 2023 classes start on Monday, August 28, 2023. It is the first day of classes.
15. The final day to add or swap classes without permission from the instructor is Friday, September 1, 2023.
16. Labor Day holiday (campus closed; no classes) is Monday, September 4, 2023.
17. The final day to receive a 100% refund if dropping individual classes or completely withdrawing from the University is Thursday, September 7, 2023.
18. The final day to change from a letter grade to S/U or S/U to a letter grade or audit is Thursday, September 7, 2023.
19. The final day to add or swap classes with permission from the instructor is Thursday, September 7, 2023.
20. There are no refunds after Thursday, September 7, 2023, unless completely withdrawing from the University; a 50% refund for complete withdrawal begins.
21. The second fee payment is due for those on the payment plan on Monday, September 25, 2023, according to UNR academic calendar 2023-2024.
22. The deadline to apply for December graduation is Saturday, October 1, 2023.
23. The final day to receive a 50% refund if completely withdrawing from the University is Friday, October 6, 2023.
24. The final fee payment due for those on the payment plan is Wednesday, October 25, 2023.
25. Nevada Day is Friday, October 27, 2023. The campus is closed and there are no classes.
26. The final day to drop classes and receive a “W” is Wednesday, November 1, 2023.
27. The final day to change from credit to audit is Wednesday, November 1, 2023.
28. There are no dropping of individual classes after the deadline of Wednesday, November 1, 2023.
29. Veteran’s Day (campus closed; no classes) is Friday, November 10, 2023.
30. UNR Thanksgiving break 2023 is from Thursday, November 23, 2023 to Sunday, November 26, 2023. Classes resume on Monday, November 27, 2023.
31. UNR Family Day (campus closed; no classes) is Friday, November 24, 2023.
32. The final day for submitting thesis/dissertation and notice of completion with Graduate School for December graduation is Friday, December 1, 2023, according to the UNR academic calendar 2023-2024.
33. UNR Commencement/Graduation 2023 is on Saturday, December 9, 2023.
34. Fall 2023 Prep Day is Wednesday, December 13, 2023.
35. UNR Fall 2023 Finals week begins on Thursday, December 14, 2023.
36. Fall 2023 classes end on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.
37. Fall semester 2023 ends on Friday, December 22, 2023. It is the last faculty day on campus for the fall semester.
38. UNR Winter break 2023 is from Saturday, December 23, 2023 to Sunday, January 21, 2024.
