Fall 2024 Advance Registration is scheduled from April 1 to April 26, 2024.
The Final Day to File a Graduation Application is May 1, 2024.
The Final Day to Submit the Master’s Degree Program of Study to the Graduate College is April 1, 2024.
April 1, 2024, is also the Final Day to Submit the Master Theses Topic and Committee Membership form to the Graduate College, according to the OU academic calendar 2024-2025.
The continuing Registration and Add/Drop period runs from April 29 to August 18, 2024.
OU move-in day in fall 2024 is from Monday, August 12, 2024, to Tuesday, August 13, 2024.
August 18, 2024, marks the Last Day to Register Before Classes Begin.
According to the OU academic calendar 2024-2025, the cancellation deadline for students with no grade record on the transcript is August 18, 2024.
OU Fall 2024 CLASSES START on August 19, 2024.
August 19, 2024, is also the First Day for a Late Registration Fee of $20.00.
From August 19 to August 30, 2024, Charges for Complete Withdrawals and Dropped Courses will be reduced by 100%.
From August 19 to September 27, 2024, graduate students will receive an Automatic Grade of W on Complete Withdrawal.
For Undergraduate students, the Grade of W on Complete Withdrawal extends from August 19 to December 6, 2024.
The Final Day to Register or Add a Class without permission of the instructor is August 23, 2024.
August 30, 2024, is the Final Day to Apply for the Doctoral General Examination and to Submit a request for a Degree Check (Thesis/Doctoral students only).
From September 3 to September 27, 2024, there’s an Automatic Grade of W for Dropped Course(s) for both Graduate and Undergraduate students.
Midterm Grades are scheduled between September 30 and October 15, 2024.
The Final Day to Submit the Graduate Certificate Program Report Form is October 7, 2024, according to the OU academic calendar 2024-2025.
From September 30 to October 25, 2024, Graduate students may receive a Grade of W or F for Dropped Course(s).
October 21, 2024, marks the beginning of Advance Registration for Next Term(s).
The final day for graduate students to change from credit to audit is October 25, 2024.
From October 28 to December 6, 2024, Graduate students can Petition Graduate College to Drop Course(s).
For Undergraduate students, the Petition to College Dean to Drop Course(s) period is from November 11 to December 6, 2024.
November 15, 2024, is the Final Day to Submit a Report of Reading Copy Submission and Request for Authority to Defend (Thesis/Dissertation).
OU Thanksgiving Break 2024 is observed from November 27 to December 1, 2024.
The Final Day for Thesis/Dissertation Defense is November 26, 2024.
The final Exam Preparation Period extends from December 1 to December 8, 2024.
December 6, 2024, is the Final Day to Complete the Doctoral General Examination, the Final Day for the Non-Thesis Exam, and the Final Day of full-term fall Classes.
Also, December 6, 2024, is the Final Day to Submit Approval for Thesis/Dissertation Submission to SHAREOK.
Final Examinations take place from December 9 to December 13, 2024.
December 13, 2024, is the Final Day to Complete Work Needed for Graduation.
OU Winter Break is observed from December 14, 2024, to January 12, 2025.
The Winter Session part of fall term classes begins on December 16, 2024.
Final Grades are Due on December 17, 2024.
According to the OU academic calendar 2024-2025, December 18, 2024, is the last day for a refund on winter session dropped courses.
January 9, 2025, is the Final Day to Submit Work Needed (e.g. transfer work) for Graduation to Academic Records.

The Final Day to Apply for the Doctoral General Examination and to Submit a request for a Degree Check (Thesis/Doctoral students only) is January 24, 2025.
January 27, 2025, is the Final Day for Undergraduate students to Change from Audit to credit.
It’s also the final day for graduate students to change from audit to credit.
From January 28 to February 21, 2025, there’s an Automatic Grade of W for Dropped Course(s) for both Graduate and Undergraduate Students.
Midterm Grades are scheduled between February 24 and March 11, 2025, according to the OU academic calendar 2024-2025.
From February 24 to March 28, 2025, Graduate students may receive a Grade of W or F for Dropped Course(s).
For graduate students, the period for a grade of W or F on Complete Withdrawals is February 24 to May 2, 2025 (to be assigned by the instructor).
The Final Day to Submit the Graduate Certificate Program Report to the Graduate College is March 3, 2025.
OU Spring Break 2025 is observed from March 17 to March 21, 2025.

March 28, 2025, marks the Final Day to Change from Credit to Audit for Graduate students.
From March 31 to May 2, 2025, Graduate students can Petition Graduate College to Drop Course(s).
For Undergraduate students, the Petition to College Dean to Drop Course(s) period is from April 14 to May 2, 2025.
April 11, 2025, is the Final Day to Submit a Report of Reading Copy Submission and Request for Authority to Defend (Thesis/Dissertation), according to the OU academic calendar 2024-2025.
The final Exam Preparation Period extends from April 27 to May 4, 2025.
April 25, 2025, is the Final Day for Thesis/Dissertation Defense.
May 2, 2025, is the Final Day to Complete the Doctoral General Examination, the Final Day for the Non-Thesis Exam, and the Final Day of Full Term Spring Classes.
Also, May 2, 2025, is the Final Day to Submit Approval for the Thesis/Dissertation Submission to SHAREOK.
Final Examinations take place from May 5 to May 9, 2025.
May 9, 2025, is the Final Day to Complete the Work Needed for Graduation and marks the beginning of Commencement Weekend, which extends to May 11, 2025.
Final Grades are Due on May 13, 2025.
May 26, 2025, is the Final Day to Submit Work Needed (e.g. transfer work) for Graduation to Academic Records, and it’s also the Memorial Day Holiday.
