1. The Fall 2024 Class Schedule will be published on Monday, March 11, 2024.
2. Fall 2024 Registration begins on Monday, April 15, 2024, with undergraduate and graduate students registering at specific appointment times.
3. Students anticipating completing their graduation requirements by the end of the Fall 2024/January 2025 semester must Apply for Fall 2024 Graduation via NYU Albert starting Monday, July 1, 2024.
4. NYU move-in day 2024 is from Saturday, August 24, 2024, to Saturday, August 31, 2024. NYU’s Welcome Weekend begins on Saturday, August 24, and Sunday, August 25, 2024, in advance of new student orientations for New First-Year, Transfer, and Graduate residents. Returning Undergraduate residents’ Check-in begins on Saturday, August 31, 2024.
5. Monday, September 2, 2024, is Labor Day. No classes are scheduled in New York, and University offices are closed.
6. NYU Fall 2024 Classes start on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
7. The Add/Drop Deadline for the Fall 2024 semester is Monday, September 16, 2024.
8. The Fall 2024 Withdrawal Period begins on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. Classes dropped from this date onward result in a “W” grade on the student transcript.
9. Monday, September 23, 2024, marks the Fall 2024 Census Date and when the January 2025 Class Schedule will be published.
10. NYU Fall Break 2024 is on Monday, October 14, 2024.
11. January 2025 Registration commences on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, or Legislative Monday.
12. The Spring 2025 Class Schedule will be published on Monday, October 21, 2024.
13. Spring 2025 Registration commences on Monday, November 18, 2024.
14. NYU Thanksgiving Break 2024 is on Thursday, November 28, 2024, and Friday, November 29, 2024. There are no classes scheduled, and University offices are closed.
15. Wednesday, December 11, 2024, is Legislative Friday.
16. The Last Day of Fall 2024 Classes is Thursday, December 12, 2024.
17. Reading Day is Friday, December 13, 2024.
18. The Final Exam Period for NYU Schools of Medicine, Law, Dentistry, and Graduate Stern is Monday, December 16, 2024, to Friday, December 20, 2024, with specific schedules managed by each school.
