JMU Fall 2024 Calendar.

Below are important dates on JMU academic calendar for Fall 2024.

1. JMU First-year move-in occurs from August 16 to 18, 2024, Friday to Sunday, during their appointment time on their assigned days.
2. JMU Fall 2024 Classes start on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.
3. The last day to withdraw from the university with tuition charges and refund cancellation is Tuesday, September 10, 2024, according to JMU academic calendar 2024-2025.
4. Family Weekend is scheduled from Friday to Sunday, September 27 to 29, 2024.
5. First Block courses end on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, while Second Block courses begin on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.
6. Thursday, October 10, 2024, marks the last day to submit an application for a Master’s, Ed.s., or Doctoral degree if graduation requirements are to be met in May or August 2025.
7. Mid-semester grades and First Block course final grades are due in the Office of the Registrar on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
8. JMU Fall Break 2024 is scheduled from October 16 to 20, 2024, Wednesday to Sunday. There will be no classes, and the University Offices will be Open.
9. Homecoming occurs from October 25 to 27, 2024, Friday to Sunday.
10. Registration begins for the 2025 spring semester on Friday, November 1, 2024, for some populations and on Monday, November 4, 2024, for all.
11. Comprehensive assessment results and scholarly documents are due to The Graduate School for December 2024 graduation candidates on Friday, November 15, 2024.
12. JMU Thanksgiving holiday begins from Saturday, November 23, 2024, to December 1, 2024.
13. Classes resume on Monday, December 2, 2024, and the last day of classes is scheduled for Friday, December 6, 2024.
14. Final examinations are set to take place from December 7 to 13, 2024, Saturday to Friday.
15. The deadline for December graduates to complete coursework is Friday, December 13, 2024. The December Commencement Ceremony will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024.
16. Regular Semester and Second Block course grades are due in the Office of the Registrar by 3 p.m. on Monday, December 16, 2024, according to JMU academic calendar 2024-2025.
