SCAD Academic Calendar 2023.

1. SCAD Fall 2023 registration begins on April 24, 2023. SCADnow online registration begins on the same day.
2. Graduate registration begins on April 26, 2023.
3. Senior registration begins on April 27, 2023.
4. Junior registration begins on May 3, 2023. Check out: MySCAD students portal.
5. Sophomore registration begins on May 10, 2023.
6. First-year student registration begins on May 17, 2023.
7. Fall 2023 Orientation for new students (Atlanta, Savannah, SCADnow online) is from September 7, 2023, to September 9, 2023.
8. SCAD Fall 2023 classes start on September 11, 2023, for SCAD Atlanta, Savannah, and SCADnow online. It is the first day of classes for SCAD Atlanta, SCAD Savannah, and SCADnow online students.
9. SCAD Drop/add period for SCAD Atlanta, Savannah, and SCADnow online is from September 11, 2023, to September 15, 2023.
10. Student check-in (Lacoste) is on September 15, 2023.
11. The fall quarter of 2023 begins for SCAD Lacoste on September 18, 2023. It is the first day of classes for SCAD Lacoste students.
12. The drop/add period for SCAD Lacoste is from September 18, 2023, to September 19, 2023.
13. The midterm week begins for all SCAD locations on October 9, 2023.
14. SCAD Lacoste Fall quarter 2023 ends on November 10, 2023.
15. The fall quarter ends SCAD Atlanta, Savannah, and SCADnow online on November 16, 2023.
16. SCAD Winter break 2023 is from November 17, 2023, to January 7, 2024.
17. Residence halls close for fall quarter at 5 p.m. for all students on Friday, November 17, 2023.

SCAD move in day fall 2023

SCAD move in day fall 2023 is from Thursday, September 7, 2023, to Sunday, September 10, 2023. Orientation for new students or Freshmen (Atlanta, Savannah, SCADnow online) is from September 7, 2023, to September 9, 2023.

SCAD move-in crews of student volunteers welcome and help new incoming students move into residence on SCAD move-in days. 

Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) Savannah offers a unique opportunity for students to get involved and help new students during move-in: the Move-In Crew. Move-in crew volunteers assist new students with moving into their residence halls, providing them with a warm welcome and a helping hand.

In addition to helping new students, move-in crew volunteers also get to move into their residence halls earlier than other students. This is a great way to get to know the campus and meet new people before classes start.

To be a part of the Move-In Crew, students must attend an orientation meeting before move-in begins. At the orientation meeting, students will learn about the responsibilities of a move-in crew volunteer and how to help new students.

Move-in crew volunteers are committed to working for new students during the scheduled move-in periods. This typically includes the weekend before classes start and the first few days of classes.

If you are interested in getting involved and helping new students at SCAD Savannah, the Move-In Crew is a great way to do it. You will meet new people, learn about the campus, and help make the move-in process easier for new students.
