NYU’s winter break for the 2024-2025 academic year begins on December 21, 2024, and ends on January 20, 2025.
Classes for the spring semester start shortly afterward on January 21, 2025, following the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday observed on January 20, 2025. This break provides a full month off for students, allowing time to rest and prepare for the spring term.
