HeelMail is the official email service for students, faculty, and staff at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). It is powered by Microsoft’s Office 365 and provides users with email, calendar, and other productivity tools.
Accessing HeelMail:
To log into your HeelMail account:
- Navigate to the HeelMail Login Page: Go to heelmail.unc.edu.
- Enter Your Credentials: Input your ONYEN (Only Name You’ll Ever Need) username followed by
@ad.unc.edu
(e.g.,onyen@ad.unc.edu
) and your password. - Sign In: Click “Sign in” to access your email and other Office 365 services.
Setting Up Your UNC Email:
If you haven’t set up your UNC email yet:
- Create Your ONYEN: Visit the Onyen Services page to create your ONYEN username.
- Activate Your Email: After creating your ONYEN, log into the UNC Self Service site with your ONYEN and password. Click on “Email Sign-up” and follow the instructions to activate your email account.
